1. School of Economics and Management（经济管理学院）

1.1 School Profile（学院简介）

The School of Economics and Management of BUCT originated from the Department of Economic Management established in 1981 and changed its name to the School of Economics and Management in 1994. Relying on the strong academic advantages and resource strength of BUCT, the institute is committed to creating a quality education,and training high-quality comprehensive talents with academic interests and innovative potential. After nearly 40 years of development, the institute currently has Management Science and first-level discipline Engineering doctoral program and post-doctoral mobile station,2 first-level discipline master programs of Management Science and Engineering and Business Administration ,3 professional master programs of Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Engineering Management (MEM) and Master of Professional Accounting(MPAcc), of which Management Science and Engineering is a key subject to be constructed belonging to 211 engineering and 985 innovation platform for preponderant disciplines.There are 7 Bachelor program specialties offered in the institute:Accounting,International Economics and Trade, Financial Management, Information Management and Information Systems, Business Administration, Logistics Management, Data Science and Big Data Technology. Among them, Accounting is the country's first-class undergraduate major,and International Economics and Trade major is the characteristic construction major of Beijing .Besides,there is a provincial and ministerial-level key base,7 school-level institutions and more than 10 institute-level teams for scientific research.

There are 94 staff members working in the institute, of whom 73 are full-time teachers and 39 are full and associate professors. At the same time, Ma Zhengwu and a number of internationally renowned professors and domestic well-known entrepreneurs are engaged as visiting professors or part-time professors. At present, there are more than 1500 undergraduate students and nearly 500 graduate students(including more than 300 master's degrees and more than 90 international students). The employment rate of graduates is stable at more than 98%.

The institute has strong teaching strength With 1 team of Beijing excellent education,1 sharing course of national resource ,2 Beijing high-quality courses.Moreover,it establishes an off-campus practice base with Jiarun accounting firm and other more than 10 off-campus enterprises and establishes the second degree (Business Administration major).And students have repeatedly obtained excellent results in the national Challenge Cup, College Students Innovation and Entrepreneurship Contest, Sand Disk Competition and other extracurricular science and technology competitions.In recent years,the institute has undertaken a number of national natural science fund,humanities and social science fund and other scientific research projects,and annually undertakes more than 40 scientific research projects, publishes more than 100 papers, and in recent years publishes nearly 60 monographs/teaching materials.The institute conducts extensive international academic exchanges and cooperation.Teachers with overseas study,visiting background occupy above 80%,carry out 3+1,3+1+1,2+2 and other undergraduate and master's students joint training with a number of internationally renowned universities.

The development goal of the research base is closely focused on the development needs and problems in the field of cultural relics museums, applying management and scientific and technological means to carry out theoretical and methodological research on evaluation, and providing services to the industry through evaluation consulting practice. By providing decision-making basis for government policy research, the base provides management consulting, planning and design, development ideas, risk assessment, decision analysis, evaluation and screening of the applicability of technical achievements, evaluation technology and methods, and so on, and gradually builds the think tank base of the industry.
2	The Green Innovation and Sustainable Development Research Center	University level	Wang Mingming	Founded in 2006, the Green Innovation and Sustainable Development Research Center is a university-level research institution. According to the requirements of the national sustainable development strategy, the center focuses on the needs of the development of the industry and international trade competition, focusing on the green innovation strategy, green innovation policy, green innovation system construction and other directions, aiming to provide research and reference for China's green innovation and sustainable development. The center relies on our school's institute of Economics and Management, Materials, Science ,etc. to form an interdisciplinary research team, with cross-discipline and collaborative research methods, to jointly promote scientific research. Since its establishment, the Center has undertaken a number of national science and technology support program topics, cultural relics protection science and technology research topics, cultural relics industry standard revision projects.
3	Center for Informationization Performance Evaluation	University level	Wang Mingming	Informationization Performance Evaluation Center was established in 2006, which is a university-level institution of scientific research.Focusing on the two sub-areas of government and industry informationization performance evaluation.The center carries out research from the aspects of the theory, method, organization and evaluation results of informationization performance evaluation, provides a systematic program for evaluating the role of e-government in improving administrative efficiency, improving government efficiency, expanding democratic participation, etc., and provides research support for promoting top-down and bottom-up collaborative industry information construction. The center relies on our school's institute of Economics and Management and Information and other on-campus faculties, while jointly carrying out research and practical work with relevant institutions outside the school. Since its establishment, the center has undertaken or participated in a number of government-commissioned projects, and constantly explores and deepens the research work of informationization performance evaluation.

5	Big Data Transportation and Logistics Lab	University level	Li Xiang	Founded in January 2018, the Big Data Transportation and Logistics Laboratory focuses on breaking through key common scientific issues in the areas of big data optimization, critical chemicals logistics management, and public transportation operation management, and currently includes 2 professors, 2 associate professors, and 5 postdoctoral lecturers/teachers. In recent years, in TRB, EJOR, Omega, IEEE Trans and other high-level journals published more than 100 SCI/SSCI papers, to undertake the National Natural Science Foundation of China key projects, excellent green projects, surface projects and other national-level projects more than 10; The laboratory attaches great importance to international cooperation and communication, founding the international journal Journal of Data, Information and Management in 2019 and the International Conference on International Academic Conferences internationally in 2016. 6	Blockchain and Digital Economics Research Center	College Level	Xin Chunlin	Blockchain and Digital Economy Research Center is a new research institution and innovation incubation base that serves the digital transformation of traditional Chinese enterprises with blockchain technology. As an open research platform with an international perspective and an innovation base for industrial practice, the research center aims to apply blockchain-related theories to Chinese enterprises' practice with top-level academic research and innovation applications, provides research support to solve major scientific and technological and industrial innovation problems in the country and society, provides top-level technology and digital economic framework design for the blockchain plus industrial supply chain and ecosystem, provides policy analysis for regulatory decision-making, and provides new ideas and new technologies for Chinese enterprises' science and technology and management innovation.

1.5 International Cooperation（国际合作）

1.5.1 International Business Curriculum(IBC)（IBC国际课程简介）

The International Business Curriculum (IBC) is a special project of discipline building at the School of Economics and Management，Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The course consists of five sections: Marketing, Financial Statement Analysis, Human Resource Management, Contracts Negotiation, and Business Research Project.

The concrete content of the course is as follows: Human Resource Management includes management and organization of commercial enterprises, management of human resources and labor relations,employee motivation and leadership, and plan of human resources management；“Marketing” includes an understanding of marketing processes and consumer behavior, product development and pricing, product distribution, and promotion；Contract Negotiationincludes business ethics and responsibility, contract formulation and negotiation, productivity and quality management, management information systems and communication management;The Financial Statement Analysis includes an understanding of accounting principles, currency and banking, securities and investment, finance and risk management, and students are required to submit annual project reports and analyze corporate data, the results of which must be done orally and in writing.“Business Research Project” is a summary task planned by the International Business Association of ESEC (US-China Education Service) and students should use their skills to complete the project professionally in the ESEC's IBC program, which is carried out by a designated four-person team. In addition to oral and written submissions, the project mandate should include commercial activities such as the production of advertising print and the promotion of products on product promotion days. Projects include: introduction, product or service, target market, competitive analysis, SWOT analysis, product strategy, marketing strategy, pricing strategy, distribution strategy, financial statements and conclusions, etc.

Each semester IBC courses are conducted in accordance with GPA and CET-6 and other performance criteria, after interviews,selecting 32 qualified students strictly from the juniors of International Trade major to set up IBC courses. Each course is taught in person by experienced foreign teachers, providing students with an international learning opportunity and environment, and a certificate of completion is issued by those who pass the student's graduation examination. There are currently two lead teachers in the IBC program, of whom Dr. Abdul Knowles, a former Harvard student who has been a lecturer in the IBC program since 2001, is highly experienced and heuristic, encouraging students to discover and solve problems themselves. A graduate of the University of Manchester, with many years of experience as an executive at an international company, Alan Ho is able to incorporate his extensive experience into classroom teaching, helping students to further understand the real international business environment while learning theoretical knowledge and generating a strong interest in the course.

IBC curriculum is taught in a heuristic way,and teachers pay much attention to interaction with students by fully mobilizing students' enthusiasm and initiative. Students in the classroom group discussion, not only can deepen the understanding of knowledge, but also can improve the ability to think,at the same time lay a solid foundation for the further study of professional knowledge ,and effectively enhance students' enthusiasm and enthusiasm for learning.

1.5.2 Joint Training Program between BUCT and University of Dublin, Ireland（北京化工大学-爱尔兰都柏林大学联合培养项目简介）

The National University of Dublin dates back to the Irish Catholic University, founded in 1851, and is the largest national university in Ireland. In 2009, it ranked 89th in the global university rankings. The university offers multidisciplinary teaching and research programs from undergraduate and graduate to postdoctoral. The university has nine faculties, including the Faculty of Humanities, Law, Science, Engineering, Business, Information Engineering, Medical ,Veterinary Medicine and Agriculture, in which there are more than 80 departments. In order to strengthen the joint training of talents with the university, our university signed with the university on cooperation agreement of undergraduate 3+1+1 project and 3.5+0.5+1 project on March 20, 2010. Cooperation majors: Chemical, Biological Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Computer, International Economics and Trade,etc.

1.5.3 A master's program at the First University of Toulouse, France（法国图卢兹第一大学硕士培养项目简介）

The First University of Toulouse, France, ranks first in economics and management, is a member of the EFMD European Management Development Foundation, home to the World Institute of Econometrics. Professor Jean-Tenor of the First University of Toulouse was awarded the Nobel Prize in Economics in 2014. The MIAGE major at the First University of Toulouse, France, which links mathematics to information technology, finance, markets and law, is innovative. Since 2006, the APC program of the First University of Toulouse, France, and Beijing University of Chemical Technology and other universities signed an inter-university cooperation agreement,and the two modes of cooperation are 4+2 or 4+3.This year is for the 13th recruiting, they have selected more than 100 outstanding students to study in France.
