School of Economics and Management, BUCT Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Chinese Economic Association UK/Europe

On June 16, 2026, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding between the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT) and the Chinese Economic Association UK/Europewas successfully held at the Chaoyang Campus of BUCT. Li Bin, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management attended the signing ceremony.

During the meeting, Li Bin extended a warm welcome to CEA (UK/Europe) . He systematically introduced the development foundation of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and elaborated on the development history, disciplinary strengths, featured talent cultivation models as well as industry-university-research integration achievements of the School of Economics and Management. He stated that the school takes international development as a core priority, and looks forward to leveraging the overseas academic platform resources of the CEA (UK/Europe) to empower the high-quality disciplinary development of the school with high-quality overseas resources.

Shi Yukun, president of the CEA (UK/Europe), expressed gratitude for the hospitality. He gave a comprehensive introduction to the association's organizational structure, overseas academic networks, regular international academic seminars and Sino-European economic academic exchange resources. He noted that the association has long committed to building a communication bridge for economists between China, the UK and Europe, and spoke highly of the School of Economics and Management, BUCT.

Participants conducted in-depth discussions on multi-dimensional long-term cooperation paths, and agreed to build a diversified cooperation system based on the respective platform strengths of both sides. The two parties reached a consensus to carry out all-round cooperation in academic exchange and co-construction, faculty exchange and development, international talent recruitment and cultivation, as well as compound talent training.


Upon the conclusion of discussions, the two parties formally signed the Memorandum of Understanding. Representatives from both sides remarked that the signing marks a key milestone for the school to expand its international cooperation footprint in Europe. The signing fills the gap in the school's international cooperation layout in Europe, enriches the carrier for the school's internationalized development, and plays a vital role in enhancing the international influence of economics and management disciplines, optimizing the international structure of faculty teams, and improving the cultivation system for high-caliber compound international talents.
