On July 18, the International Conference titled AI Agent-Driven Transformation of New Business Education: Opportunities, Challenges, and Practices, hosted by the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), took place at the Chaoyang Campus. Su Haijia, Vice President of BUCT, attended the conference. Gao Hongxia, Chairof the School of Economics and Management, presided over the event. Centering on empowering business education via AI agents, the conference gathered experts and scholars from universities, research institutions and enterprises at home and abroad to exchange views and conduct in-depth discussions on topics including educational philosophies, talent training models and teaching practices.
Su Haijia noted that BUCT boasts distinctive strengths in engineering and features interdisciplinary education. She encouragedthe School of Economics and Management to advance the in-depth integration of artificial intelligence into the full spectrum of business talent training, and strive to cultivate interdisciplinary economics and management talents equipped with digital literacy, professional expertise and industrial insights. She expressed the hope that all participants could exchange cutting-edge ideas and practical experience to jointly explore pathways for the digital and intelligent transformation of new business education.
Six academic and industry experts delivered keynote speeches at the conference. Professor Rau Pei-Luen, Vice Dean of the Global Innovation Exchange Institute, Tsinghua University; Professor Xue Zhou, Dean ofAI, University of Leicester, UK; Dr. Lilian Schofield from Queen Mary University of London, UK; Kang Rui, Founder and CEO of Beijing Qianliang Technology Co., Ltd.; Professor Hosam Al-Samarraie from the University of Leeds, UK; and Professor Chen Na, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management, BUCT, shared insights and experience regarding AI-enabled teaching innovation, relevant academic research and industrial practices.
Over 100 faculty members, researchers and students from universities and research institutions in and outside Beijing attended the conference.
