In order to thoroughly implement the relevant requirements issued by the National Committee for MBA/MEM Professional-Degree Graduate Education concerning the quality construction of degree theses, further strengthen the development of the supervisor team, improve the training quality of professional-degree postgraduates, and facilitate in-depth understanding and precise matching between supervisors and students, the Supervisor Training Session together with the MBA/MEM Supervisor-Student Matching Fair of the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Chemical Technology was held at the Conference Center of the Chaoyang Campus on July 23.

Supervisor training and supervisor-student matching constitute key links in the cultivation of professional-degree postgraduates. This event organically integrated policy interpretation, expert training, programme briefings, supervisor presentations and student-supervisor exchanges. It not only helped supervisors gain an accurate grasp of the latest requirements for MBA/MEM degree theses, but also enabled students to obtain a comprehensive understanding of training arrangements and supervisors’ research interests, laying a solid foundation for subsequent academic studies, research work and thesis supervision.

Going forward, the School will continuously improve mechanisms covering supervisor training, supervisor-student communication, thesis guidance and whole-process training management. It will further give play to supervisors’ pivotal role in fostering virtue through education and cultivating professional-degree talents, promote in-depth integration of theoretical learning, management practice and industrial demands, and steadily enhance the training quality of professional-degree postgraduates as well as the School’s educational influence.
