Study Tour Group from the School of Business, IPB University, Indonesia Visits the School of Economics and Management, BUCT

On September 30, 2026, an international study tour delegation from the School of Business, IPB University (Indonesia) visited the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, for a special research and exchange activity. The delegation was led by Dr. Zenal Asikin, Vice Dean of the School of Business at IPB University, accompanied by Andri Arivian, Academic and Student Affairs Staff. The group consisted of 11 postgraduate students.

During the visit, the IPB study tour group toured BUCT’s Changping Campus to experience the campus educational environment and cultural atmosphere. The delegation visited core teaching facilities and learned about the construction of teaching infrastructure, allocation of educational resources, and students’ learning experience. Through the campus tour, members experienced the University’s educational heritage, academic ethos and supporting education system. They spoke highly of BUCT’s standardized school-running model and campus environment.

Both sides held a thematic symposium in the No.2 Teaching Building, conducting in-depth discussions on core topics including the development of new business disciplines, international talent cultivation, and academic research collaboration. At the symposium, the School of Economics and Management gave a systematic introduction to its educational features, discipline development, programme portfolio, faculty strength, achievements in talent training and plans for international development, fully demonstrating its practical outcomes and potential for international exchanges and cooperation.

The IPB delegation fully recognized the School’s educational philosophy, progress in discipline development and achievements in international talent cultivation. Vice Dean Dr. Zenal Asikin presented an overview of the School of Business at IPB University. The two sides then explored potential avenues for cooperation, such as transnational academic exchangesand joint talent training. This laid a solid foundation for establishing a platform for exchange and advancing diversified international cooperation in business education.

This visit marks an important initiative of the School of Economics and Management to further open up education and advance the international development of new business disciplines. The event effectively deepened mutual understanding and friendship between the two business schools from China and Indonesia, opening up channels for two-way communication. Moving forward, the School will continue to leverage its disciplinary strengths, expand international partnerships, and support its high-quality and international development.
